Dear Friend,
The colors of the leaves, pumpkins and trees make a great back drop for picture taking; it's a great time to take holiday pictures. In this issue, I will share my holiday picture-taking experiences with my girls and husband. Anyone who sends me a holiday picture will get a $25 certificate to be used on their next minimum purchase of $100 at WVK. (Offer expires December 15,, 2007).
Holiday Pictures & Useful Tips
Have you made your holiday picture appointment with your favorite photographer? If not, what about planning a date with your family for your holiday card? Our appointment with Michael Jurick Photography is at the end of October (cross your fingers-hopefully it will be beautiful)! Michael is a talented New York City photographer who knows all the hidden spots in Central Park. We know that you will want your children to look their best for the photos, so, here are a few tips. Outdoor photo tips
For outdoor pictures, you may want to coordinate their clothing with the Fall colors.
This 4 piece outfit by Confetti reminds me of the leaves changing colors.
It may be difficult to convince your son not to play around in dirt when he is outdoors, so dressing
him in a casual look with great Autumn colors may be your best bet. This orange long sleeve top by
Jean Bourget looks great under this red plaid button down shirt.
Indoor photo tips
If you decide to take pictures inside and prefer a less casual approach, then you should look at these options.
This teal silk and velvet dress from Rooster NYC with swarovski-like crystal buttons is just
elegant. If you celebrate Chanukah, it would be adorable to put a menorah in her hands. Maybe a
mistletoe or an ornament if you celebrate Christmas.
For a traditional holiday picture, your daughter will look spectacular in this lovely red angora
blend sweater from Jean Bourget.
To dress up your son's wardrobe with a classic look for holiday pictures, a vest shows great style.
Not sure what I love more about this top, the argyles or the knitted vest. Either way, this ice
blue vest by IKKS looks great over this collared shirt.
This by Jean Bourget, paired with almost any long sleeve top, will look
great for your pictures.
I hope some of these tips were helpful. I can't wait to see all of your holiday photos. Don't forget, when you send a picture, you will receive a certificate for $25 off your next minimum order of $100.

Extra! Extra! Extra!Diesel now on WVK. Did you see Julianne Moore's son wearing Diesel on the cover of Cookie Magazine? Now Diesel is available at West Village Kids. Check out this zippered blue sweatshirt with black faux fur inside. Perfect for layering, and easy for your kids to put on and take off.
Gabriella loves this cardigan by Oilily because it reminds her of Bambi. I
love it because it goes with so much in her closet. The combination of the Fall colors and the
Winter scene makes this such a special find and a great layering piece. It looks great with either a
skirt or pair of pants.
What's a way to layer for the cooler months? Undergarments, especially undershirts. Layering is so important this time of year. In the mornings, the girls are wearing more than one layer of clothing with their fall coats. When I pick them up at school, one of the layers is at the bottom of their backpack.
Check out Claesen's under garments for boys and girls, ranging in sizes 2 - 12. They are great
under any top and they even look great alone. Claesen is designed in the Netherlands along with
some of your other favorites (Jottum, Cakewalk and Bengh). Their cotton second skin fabrics,
trademarked patterns and affordable prices make them the best selling undergarments in Holland. If you have any questions for Michelle, email her at michelle@westvillagekids.com.
