Dear Friend,
Hold onto your socks - the Fall Winter 2008 collections have been arriving daily. Since most children are starting school this month, I wanted to focus on being comfortable at school. Don't worry, you won't sacrifice comfort for style at West Village Kids. Remember, I'm a mother of 2, so I know how important this is.
There is nothing basic about back to school at West Village Kids
My number one priority is making sure that my children are feeling at home in their new classrooms. Gabriella is starting Kindergarten this year - new school, new friends (anxiety for mommy). I can't believe that my baby, Sydney is now going to school 5 mornings. One thing that I can control is how comfy they feel in their clothing. This starts with high quality clothes that kids love wearing. Check out the Fall trends for boys and girls. BOYS: the Hoodie sweatshirt
This plush khaki Jean Bourget Sound System sweatshirt is a great layering piece for the Fall. It will become his favorite hoodie along with these denim soft jeans.
Nowadays everybody has a pair of camouflage pants, but how about a camouflage sweatshirt? Take your pick of either this stylish
IKKS or this hip yet inexpensive
MISH MISH
sweatshirt. Your son will know he is the bomb and you will know that he is surrounded by the softest material.
This three piece outfit by Pura Vida nyc is
inspired by the Dada exhibit at The Museum of Modern Art in New York. The organic T shirt features graphics and phrases in
foreign languages and the unique shiny brown sweatshirt will go with everything in his closet. This is designer denim at affordable prices.
GIRLS: leggings instead of tights or jeans?
When you think about leggings, you think comfort, but not style. I will show you how to wear them so they are fashionable!
Can you believe that these are leggings? These black velour leggings by French designer Confetti come with a colorful skirt attached. When you add this pink top, your little one will look so precious.
What girl doesn't want a little sparkle in her life? These pink leggings by
Rooster NYC contain a spandex blend, so they will always bounce back in the wash. They look great
paired with this Pura Vida nyc neon green and pink tunic.
If you aren't familiar with Wild South, you have got to take a look at these pieces from their collection. Designed in Germany and manufactured in Italy, these
high couture leggings have the appearance of pants. (Check out the back of
this brown tie-dye belted tunic; it has a sword in a heart graphic). Hurry up, only 3 sizes left!

For girls, wearing leggings instead of tights. These black and khaki striped Jean Bourget leggings

they have snaps on the bottom. When you wear this black denim mini skirt over these leggings, it looks "way cool" (as Gabriella would say).
