WEST VILLAGE KIDS NEWSLETTER
Volume 5, Issue 1

Dear Friend,

The first chill in September gets me so excited for Fall. When I was a child Fall meant new clothing for school and looking forward to one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. I'm not sure if dressing up was the best part of Halloween or trading candy with my brothers.

To help celebrate Halloween, any item that has a skull & cross bones in the description will be marked down 10%. (Offer expires October 31st)

Happy Halloween!!

Frightful Finds

The hot topic at home for the whole month of October will be, "What do you want to be for Halloween?" So, why not dress your kids in really cool scary wears that can be worn if your child meets a ghost? Skulls for boys and girls are hotter than ever. Check out the thermal striped Skull T shirt and the Skull T shirt, both designed by CC's Rags.

mish mish My Sydney is wearing these pink sweat pants from Mish Mish with skulls on the legs. I bet you never thought that any item with skulls could be this sweet.

No bones about it - this is one realistic Skeleton on this teal blue knit hoodie from Pura Vida.

skull boots Take a look at these Pom D'api skull boots - yes, they are on sale (until October 31st) You can always pick up the canvas skull sneaker or put away the Skull sandal for summer (unless you are one of my Australian customers and then you can wear them now).

Wouldn't it be great to use your fall coat for a Halloween costume? Try this Black bomber coat, grease your son's hair back, put on a pair of black boots and jeans and he's a retro 50's kid. By the way, this coat has a hidden hood and it's lined in plaid.

For a more vintage look, check out this IKKS black denim jacket. It's trimmed in loose thread, very hip and a great layering piece.

Don't forget to bring your fall coat trick or treating - it gets cold at night. Here are some suggestions for girls.

This pink jacket by Cakewalk is so darling. The 4 toggle closures and the embroidered design on the front panel are just a few of the reasons why this coat is a must.

What if you dressed your daughter in a skating costume and had her wearing this pink Bongo cape from Oilily? It features a figure skater, faux fur, toggle closures and just pure style.

Extra! Extra! West Village Kids made the Cover of Time Out New York Kids

Featured in this issue is the ultra fabulous Jottum Rose velvet military fall coat. This coat is lined with a floral print and zippers to the silver buttons. There are ribbons on the sleeves & the back is pleated. I just can't say enough. This coat is just so lush; your daughter will absolutely feel like a true princess wearing it.

Hot Pick of the Month
I love to knit (when I have the time). This knitted poncho looks like it was hand made with love (in reality it's from IKKS).

ask michelle
How can I transition my children's summer closet to a fall closet?

First thing I would do, is put away the bathing suits, sandals and shorts. Pair the short sleeve Tee shirts with jeans. For the girls, replace the sandals with socks or tights and boots when wearing a dress. Chilly mornings throw on a sweat shirt or a long sleeve shirt.
